The Department of Materials Engineering and Construction Processes (K82W02D06) was established on August 1, 2021, by the directive of the Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. The department operates within the organizational structure of the Faculty of CivilEngineering (W2). The Head of the Department is Prof. Łukasz Sadowski, DSc Eng.

The mission of the Department is to create the necessary conditions for conducting scientific research. We aim to provide a space for educating students, as well as training research and teaching staff in the field of building materials and processes engineering.

The primary scientific discipline in which the department's team conduct research is Civil Engineering, Geodesy, and Transport. However, due to the diverse interests of the department's employees, it is also possible to undertake interdisciplinary research.
