Education and Career:

  • From 1978 to 1983, he pursued higher education at the Faculty of Architecture, Wrocław University of Science and Technology. In 1983, he completed his diploma thesis under the supervision of Dr. Stefan Müller, passing the master's exam with a very good result.
  • From 1983 to 1992, he worked at the Municipal Design Office in Wrocław as an assistant designer, designer, and head of a design team.
  • In 1984, he completed a construction internship at PKZ.
  • He holds unlimited architectural design qualifications.
  • From 1992 to 2001, he ran his own design studio, Cad-Projekt, Maciej Śliwowski.
  • In 1995, he obtained conservation qualifications, no. 2/95, on January 11, 1995.
  • He is a member of the Lower Silesian Regional Chamber of Architects, with the registration number DS-0721.

He started working at the Faculty of Civil and Water Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology on October 1, 2001, on a fixed-term contract. From October 1, 2002, he has been employed on a permanent contract as a lecturer and later as a senior lecturer. He teaches courses on technical drawing and the basics of architectural design. He is also an active architect.

Participation in Research Projects:

  • He contributed to the project "Model for Assessing the Risk of Building Disasters, Accidents, and Dangerous Incidents at Workplaces Using Construction Scaffolding," funded by the National Centre for Research and Development, carried out from 2016 to 2018 by a scientific consortium consisting of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at Lublin University of Technology, the Faculty of Management at Lublin University of Technology, the Faculty of Civil and Water Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Environmental Engineering at Lodz University of Technology.

Professional Interests:

  • History of architecture, restoration of historical buildings.
  • Renovation and reconstruction of technically degraded buildings.

Non-professional Interests:

  • Archaeology, history, military history, fishing, mushroom hunting.
  • He has been a member of the Polish Angling Association since 1971.
